My package arrived

I am so happy with what I got. I am here to show it all to you and let you know how much fun I had opening it.

HPIM0479

Here is what she sent, and she wrapped all the little goodies in the left over yarn so I need to unwrap it to get to all my goodies. When I unwrapped it this is what I found.

HPIM0487

As you can see in the photo there are stitch markers, sock needle protectors, little bunny buttons, a row counter and a little sweater keychain. I am happy with my gifts. Thank you Valerie, (valink on ravelry) of Knit Sibs podcast.

Foxy goodies from Kim

I got this great package from Kim today! I just love the cute little fox she made for me -- he's definitely going to keep me company at my desk. Along with the little critter, she included a photo frame, hand cream, Chinese exercise balls, lots of yummy chocolate (some of which didn't make it to the photo shoot :P), a tin of SweetTarts, a coin bank that says "Shopping fund", and a light-up glass flower. I adore the fact that Kim included all sorts of diverse, super-cool goodies. Thank you Kim!! I love it all!

Butterfly Flutters By

Just flew all the way from Norway and boy are it's wings tired. rimshot
I found my critter warm and safe in my mailbox this morning. Marianne really brightened my day with this colorful beaded butterfly....well that and the candy, stitch markers, and beautiful card. Thank you Marianne!!!!!

Relaxing Morning indeed....

I got my package on Friday from itsjustmeghan & I just had to show everyone so y’all can be jealous! It is a relaxing morning themed package & my critter-esque critter is the cutest clock ever. My DH won’t stop talking about how cute it is. And I had myself a relaxing morning complete with tea drinking (out of MY new favorite thing) & cookie eating. I had to include the picture on front of the card because it’s freaking hysterical.

Guinea Pig Adventure

Meet Fluffy and Not-so-Fluffy all the way from AZ! Fluffy got to go on the host familly's vacation and had a great time finding treats to include in the package.

Thanks Andrea aka dnaprice for a great swap!
My critters arrived yesterday!!! And yes, that was critterS, plural. Tina sent the best package. The big brown dog is adorable and the little white and black one has the cutest face, and reminds me of my goofy dog Lucy. The stitch markers are sweet little penguins, and some doggy buttons, ribbon, and a little notebook round out the package. Oh, and there was some fantastic chocolate, that somehow didn’t make it into the picture. Tina was so kind to include adorable Mailman cookies for my dogs. The doggy cookies lasted about as long as my chocolate :)

Thank you Tina!!!

My Critter is Here! (And I LOVE it!)

From the delightful and talented Bethany...

I LOVE this little kitty! Here's another photo:

In this one -- which is a little blurry (sorry) -- you can also see the sweet gifts she sent: Lilac soap (somebody did a little research and found out I love lilacs!); a little tin of tea; pretzels with chocolate dip (YUM); and a package of the most delicious cookies...they didn't even last long enough to be photographed :-)

And...The sweetest thing of all: A lace handkerchief she said she found in her collection of vintage goodies. It has an "H" on it (my name is Hannah), and it came wrapped around the kitty like a little blanket.

Such a personal touch...I'll treasure it always. Thank you so, so much Bethany!

Cute Little Owls

My Little Critter swap package arrived! Inside were these three cute owlies - mama, daddy and baby! Or perhaps three sisters? Or neighbours who share the same tree? What do you think? They are sharing a shelf in my studio space, and seem to get along very well. (Perhaps that means they are not related...)

My partner was Emily. She also included these wonderful goodies and treats. I will enjoy using all of these - thank you Emily!

I love the rosette on this tea towel.

Here's my little critter, wrapped and tied with a bow. It's still in transit but hopefully nearly there!

Today is the Day!!!!

All the critters and their goodies should be in transit to their new home! hopefully the critters (and goodies) will arrive safely, pop out, and surprise their new owners with glee!!! :)
if you haven't done so already, i'd say now would be a good time to contact the person you have in the swap and say "hey! i have you, and your critter is on the way!!!!" just so we all know we have a package on the way.
i hope everyone enjoys their packages! don't forget to share photos!!!! :)

Almost gone...

I have finally finished my little critter and it's so hard to put him in a box...I think I will have to make another one soon. He's so cute! Going shopping today and will get him packed up for his journey across the country to Oregon. Not sure if I should post pictures yet...maybe in a couple days =)

My Critter arrived

I am a horrible critter mommy. My critters arrived last week, but I was out of town. This has been my first chance to upload pictures and show off my little guys. I think they are adorable!! Puppies and turtles are my faaavorites!! Jessica did an awesome job on these little cuties. She also sent me a box of peppermint tea and some Japanese candy. One of the bags is cola flavored candies and the other is Strawberry milk candies. I am looking forward to trying them out.

I just finished packing up the box from my swap partner and will mail it from work tomorrow. My crochet skills are a little rusty, but I think they turned out OK. I hope she likes them!

I Got Defeated.....

I surrender! Little Critters are NOT my specialty! The swap package will be mailed tomorrow and I hope my partner likes the "goodie box". There is a little critter involved; however, it looks nothing like I had planned on sending.

Nesting!

All around our house the birds are nesting, again, carrying on in the morning so loudly that people can hear them in the background when I talk on the phone!

I've found several little pale-blue egg shells in the garden, too. Some look hatched, others might have been...um...dinner.

Robin's Egg Blue is one of my favorite colors. So once I decided on a pattern, choosing the yarn was easy! I think they turned out cute :-)

At least these little guys won't fall prey to a roaming cat (or snake!)...
